Privacy Policy

Saloneshop ("we", "us") provides free and paid tools that let small businesses publish an online storefront and receive customer orders through WhatsApp. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Information we collect

• Account details — name, username, email address and/or phone number, and a securely hashed password. Recovery codes are stored hashed.
• Store content — business name, store link, categories, products, prices and product photos you upload.
• Order details — customer name, phone number, delivery address, order note and items, recorded when an order is sent from your storefront.
• Subscription records — plan, payment reference and status for manual Orange Money and Afrimoney payments.
• Support messages — the content of tickets and replies you send us.
• Technical data — basic device and log information needed to keep the service secure and working.

How we use information

• To create and secure your account and storefront.
• To show your products to customers and record the orders they place.
• To verify subscription payments and apply plan limits.
• To send service emails: verification, password reset, payment and support updates.
• To detect abuse, fraud and misuse of the platform.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

WhatsApp orders

When a customer sends an order, Saloneshop records it in the merchant's account and opens WhatsApp with a pre-filled message. The conversation itself happens in WhatsApp and is governed by WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy — we do not read or store your WhatsApp chats.

Sharing

Information is shared only with the service providers who run Saloneshop for us — hosting, database and storage, and email delivery — and where the law requires it. Merchants can see the orders submitted to their own store; they cannot see other merchants' data.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings; this permanently removes your store, products, images, orders and account record. Some records may remain briefly in backups or where we must keep them for legal reasons.

Security

Access is protected by authentication and row-level database rules, so each account can only reach its own records. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and keep your recovery code private.

Children

Saloneshop is intended for business owners aged 18 and over.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and the date above will change.
